Okay, continuing my tradition of shameless promotion, here is the clip of my 4 minutes of fame on CNN:

Blue Marlin

from Costa Rica 9.99

20/30 count Sea Scallops 9.99

Try a little of our Absolutely Fresh Pacific Rim sauce on the Marlin – marinate for a half hour, then grill.

The Sea Scallops are ‘wet’ as opposed to ‘dry’, which we have in the fish case every day. And they are smaller than our usual, but good in the sauté pan. So save some cash, and sauté these for about 4 minutes per side. Try them ‘Scampi’ style; butter, garlic and onion. You’ll love ‘em.

Ivory King Salmon and Red Meat King Salmon Coming in almost every day! From Alaska, of course.

At both Absolutely Fresh Seafood Markets – fire up that grill!

THE GAY FLIGHT ATTENDANT (This one is too funny to not forward.)  My flight was being served by an obviously gay flight attendant, who seemed to put everyone in a good mood as he served us food and drinks. As the plane prepared to descend, he came swishing down the aisle and told us that 'Captain Marvey has asked me to announce that he'll be landing the big scary plane shortly, so lovely people, if you could just put your trays up, that would be super.'  On his trip back up the aisle, he noticed this well-dressed and rather Arabic looking woman hadn't moved a muscle. 'Perhaps you didn't hear me over those big brute engines but I asked you to raise your trazy-poo, so the main man can pitty-pat us on the ground.'  She calmly turned her head and said, 'In my country, I am called a Princess and I take orders from no one.'  To which (I swear) the flight attendant replied, without missing a beat,  'Well, sweet-cheeks, in my country I'm called a Queen, so I outrank you. Tray -up, B*tch'

PA SLEEPS NAKED    "Late again," the third-grade  teacher said to little Sammy.  "It ain't my fault this time,  Miss Crabtree.  You can blame this'un on my Daddy.  The reason  I'm three hours late is cause my Daddy sleeps naked!"  Now, Miss Crabtree had taught  grammar school for thirty-some-odd years.  Despite her mounting  fears, she asked little Sammy what he meant by that.   Full of grins and mischief,  and in the flower of his youth, little Sammy and trouble were  old friends, but he always told her the truth.  "You see, Miss Crabtree, out  at the ranch we got this here low down coyote.  The last few   nights, he done ate six hens and killed Ma's best milk goat.   Last night, when Daddy heard a noise out in the chicken pen, he  grabbed his shot gun and said to Ma, "That coyote's back again,  I'm a gonna git him!''     "Stay back, he whispered to  all us kids!"   "He was naked as a jaybird, no  boots, no pants, no shirt!  To the hen house he crawled, just  like an Injun on the snoop.  Then, he stuck that double barreled  12 gauge shot gun through the window of the coop."    "As he stared into the  darkness, with coyotes on his mind, our old hound dog, Zeke, had done woke up and comes sneaking' up behind Daddy. Then, as  we all looked on, plumb helpless, old Zeke stuck his cold nose  in Daddy's behind!"    "Miss Crabtree, we all been  cleanin' chickens since three o'clock this mornin'!"

[And more good news about fish: this is about a feed additive, for farm raised Atlantic Salmon, that mimics what salmon eat in the wild. Progress, progress. – Greg]

By SeafoodSource staff

28 May, 2010 - Aquasta® is now available worldwide, following the expansion of production and distribution capabilities at Naturxan LLC of Columbia, Md. The naturally sourced astaxanthin is made from Phaffia yeast and is used in fish feed to enrich the pigment of salmon and trout flesh. It's made from renewable ingredients without the use of petrochemicals or recombinant DNA modification.

A joint venture between Archer Daniels Midland Co. and Igene Biotechnology, Naturxan has invested more than USD 3 million (EUR 2.4 million) in the past year to scale production capacity and inventory volume to meet its customers' needs.

"Our recent efforts help ensure we can provide feed manufacturers and fish producers around the world with a stable, year-round supply of high quality, industry-tested, naturally-sourced astaxanthin," said Naturxan CEO Richard Grelewicz.

Aquasta is approved by numerous organic programs, including Naturland, BioSuisse, DEBIO, KRAV, DEFRA, the Organic Food Federation, the Irish Organic Farmers and Growers Association and Agriculture Biologique.

"We believe Aquasta provides benefits that cannot be found in other sources which claim to be natural, making us the clear choice in the aquaculture market," said Dr. Stephen Hiu, Naturxan's chief technology officer. "Aquasta does not pigment fish with adonirubin."-- --- -- - --
